MOAMI UNIVERSE × PRIMAL

A head made of folded black planes, floating just above a dark dome. Gold rope and pinheads run across every facet, small flowers, curled tendrils, tiny beaded constellations, so the whole thing reads as a mask that has been embroidered rather than carved.

It was made for Moami Universe, the handcrafted Ethereum collection run by Maxim Gusakov, and auctioned on OpenSea on 27 April 2022. Ovidiu worked from a Blender base the collection supplied and finished it in his own black-and-gold hand.

The lightest of the Primal-era collaborations, no body, no ground, just a face suspended in grey. He wanted to animate it. It stayed still.
