CRYPTOFOODERS × PRIMAL

A bull cast in black stone, horns curving up and out, its face and chest inlaid with gold, brow plates, a gold blindfold across the eyes, filigree running down the muzzle in mirrored pairs.

The piece is called Ancientific. It was made in Primal Lab for CryptoFooders and dropped on 2 April 2022 on OpenSea. A month later it hung at the NFT Art Fair in Vancouver.

It is the most sculptural of the Primal collaborations, less a portrait than an idol, the gold reading as ritual marking rather than decoration. The black-and-gold language Ovidiu used all through 2022 gets its heaviest, calmest object here.
