SPAT is a low shoe built out of straps and patches. The upper is a set of curved panels laid over a grey base, each one edged, riveted, and sitting slightly proud of the surface, so the shoe reads as assembled rather than moulded. A wide cross-hatched band runs over the instep and closes with a single cord and toggle.

The sole is one continuous black slab with a serrated edge that steps out past the upper, and an underside of soft oval pads. There are no laces and no tongue, the toggle does all the tightening.

Modelled and rendered in 2024 as a concept. Nine studio views exist, including an exploded set that lifts every patch off the base and shows how many separate pieces the upper is really made of.
