SKETCHES 2022–25

Folded A4, ballpoint, sixteen shoes to a sheet. Every drawing is the same view, side profile, no perspective, no context, so the only thing that can change is the shape.

Read across a page and you watch one decision being tested sixteen ways: how high the platform, where the sole breaks from the upper, whether the toe is blunt or clipped, what happens if the midsole waves instead of running flat. Some are hatched solid, most are left as outline. None of them took longer than a minute.

This is where the printed work starts. The slides, the clogs, the mules, their proportions were settled here in pen, on paper folded in half, long before anything was modelled.
